Re-reading paths: world re-readings, re-readings of the pedagogical doing. Adult educaton with migrant and refugee women* in Austria

In the workshop we would seek to exchange about our current implementations,
translations and extensions of Freires work for the pedagogic practice we develop. Based on
a critical inventory of the current situation of adult education with migrant women* and
refugees in Austria, the workshop reflects our searching movements within the framework
of this practice. This is done primarily using commented examples from lessons in literacy
courses, in which queer and feminist artistic works are used as impulses for the process of
re-reading. The discussion of the examples provides insights into the practical
implementation of the approaches above, as well as into the challenges, moments of failure
and learning.
